Keys to Growing a Small Business: Plan, Leverage Opportunities, and Invest in People

Episode 182 June 20, 2024 00:36:09

Show Notes

On today’s WealthBuilders Podcast, Karen Conrad Metcalfe interviews  one of our Business Coaches, Frank Pulley of F & B Properties, about scaling their watersports and travel business from $300,000 in annual revenue to $4-5 million when they sold it 22 years later. Frank emphasizes the importance of having a written business plan and applying strategies like consistent scheduling, deposit requirements for classes, and accepting credit cards to drive growth.

Frank also highlights diverse revenue streams like equipment sales, rentals, and trips they leveraged to scale up. Other factors included emulating successful dive businesses, focusing on customer service, and accountability with their books.

Frank has found the same principles apply in real estate investing. Today’s conversation provides valuable insights for entrepreneurs on scaling a business through strategic planning, leveraging opportunities, developing revenue streams, and investing in people.
